Jimmy wants to control everything
"One has to keep in mind the sensibilities of the audience you are catering to," says Jimmy in a thoughtful tone, "If things are in your control as an actor, you can ensure that there is nothing which turns out to be substandard. It is important to be looking at the film from scripting itself, something that I did in case of this film."
Due to the fact that he has been attached to the team of MEL HARADE RABBA for last few years, a comfort level also came in that allowed Jimmy to share his inputs with the team. "I know this team for 5-6 years now so we could sit together and work things out. We know what the Punjabi audience wants. There was lot of hard work that paid off. Now onwards, I am positive about doing things the way that suit the sensibility of me and my audience. Hopefully this would be repeated with other producers as well."
No wonder, with such terrific all around response that the film has fetched for itself, Jimmy is exhilarated with the big success that has come his way.
"I was always confident that Punjabis will watch this film in a big way across the globe. This has indeed happened which shows yet again that if the content is right, things totally fall in place," says Jimmy, "There was good hype building up for MEL HARADE RABBA all this while but what has happened at the box office is unthinkable for one and all. All I can say to people who have watched the film and are continuing to watch it all over again - Thank you all."
