Deepika Padukone counting success
"I am fortunate to get such a wide range of films and my parents are expectedly happy for me as well", Deepika perks up here, "The year has begun well for me. KARTHIK CALLING KARTHIK was a good film and it wasn't one of your quintessential Bollywood film. We marketed it appropriately as well and it did reach out to its target audience. The film's script was quite realistic with a thriller touch to it. HOUSEFULL was an entirely different experience as it was a hardcore mainstream commercial film which was bright, colourful and entertaining. Now I have LAFANGEY PARINDEY coming up which takes me into a different zone. Things couldn't have been better."
Looks like she is also taking a conscious call in choosing her projects that give her quite a wide range of roles throughout the year.
"I am glad that my directors think I can do better with every passing film of mine", gushes Deepika, "OM SHANTI OM or a LOVE AAJ KAL have been milestone affairs and now I aspire to have many more milestones like these in years to come. It is great to see such a wide range of films coming my way."
She adds, "Now look at Ashu's (Gowariker) film KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SE; it is a completely different affair. I have been shooting with Imran on BREAK KE BAAD in Delhi and it has been fun so far. Once you see all these bunch of films over next few months, you would yourself tell me that they are all different films. Whether it's the story, my character or the look; thankfully I have been able to do try out different things in all aspects."
